Frequently Asked Questions

What should my child bring?

Children should bring a packed bag with a towel, change of clothes, a reusable or sealed water bottle, sunscreen, and anything you deem necessary (inhaler, emergency phone numbers, medications, hat, sunglasses, flip flops or water shoes). All items should be label with your child's name.

We recommend leaving valuables at home, as MetroLagoons is not responsible for such items. The week prior to the camp, registrants will receive a more detailed email on what to bring, what not to bring, and what to expect.

Can my child join if they are 6 or 13?

At this time, only children ages 7-12 are able to register for Summer Camps.

What is the drop-off and pick-up process?

Parents/guardians must check campers in and out each day. Photo ID may be required at pick-up for safety.

Running late? Please notify us as soon as possible if you are running behind.

Can I drop off early and/or pickup late?

Pre- and post-care are not currently provided. Campers must be dropped off no earlier than 8:45am and must be picked up promptly at 1pm. Thanks for your cooperation.

Can I stay and watch the camp, or stay afterwards?

Guests who wish to remain at the lagoon past check-in or pickup must purchase tickets, and we kindly ask that they not interfere with camp operations. Additionally, those who register for camp will receive information on discounted lagoon admissions for family and friends.

Are lifeguards on duty?

Yes, certified lifeguards are present during all water activities.

What are the camp hours?

Camp starts at 9am and ends at 1pm. Drop off begins at 8:45.

How does lunch work?

Daily lunch is provided and will include options such as pizza, chicken tenders, and PB&J. Selections can be made each morning at check-in. If your child prefers to eat his or her own food, or otherwise has dietary restrictions, they may bring a bagged lunch.

Can I register for individual days or only full weeks?

Summer Camp registration is for weekly sessions only.

Guests are welcome to enjoy the Lagoon for a day - simply purchase a day ticket!

Do campers need to know how to swim?

While swimming experience is helpful, it is not required. Life jackets are widely available, and staff will ensure all activities are age- and skill-appropriate.

Can someone else pick up my child?

Yes, but only individuals listed on your authorized pick-up list will be permitted. Please update this information in advance if needed.

What communication will be sent to me?

Upon registration, you will receive an email confirming your child’s camp enrollment. Then, the week prior to the session, you will also receive an email with information on what to bring, what not to bring, and what to expect at camp.
