Guest Chaperone Policy

MetroLagoons is committed to providing a safe, enjoyable, and family-friendly environment for all guests. During designated operating periods, holidays, special events, or elevated attendance periods, MetroLagoons may implement a Chaperone Policy to support guest safety and operational excellence.

Chaperone Requirement
Guests under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a responsible adult age 21 or older.
Maximum Chaperone Ratio
One (1) adult may supervise a maximum of four (4) minors.

Parent, Guardian, and Chaperone Responsibility and Liability

Parents, legal guardians, and chaperones are responsible for the conduct, supervision, and safety of the minor guests accompanying them or placed under their care while on MetroLagoons property.

By accompanying or permitting a minor to enter MetroLagoons, the parent, guardian, or chaperone acknowledges and agrees that they:

  • Are responsible for supervising the minor guest at all times
  • Are responsible for ensuring the minor guest complies with all MetroLagoons policies, rules, and staff instructions
  • May be held accountable for the actions and behavior of the minor guest
  • Accept responsibility for any injury, loss, damage, or disruption caused by the minor guest to other guests, employees, contractors, or visitors, to the extent permitted by applicable law
  • Accept responsibility for any damage to MetroLagoons property, facilities, equipment, attractions, furnishings, or other assets caused by the minor guest, to the extent permitted by applicable law
  • May be required to reimburse MetroLagoons for repair, replacement, cleanup, or other costs resulting from intentional, reckless, or negligent acts of the minor guest, to the extent permitted by applicable law
  • May be required to leave the property with the minor guest if the minor guest violates MetroLagoons policies or engages in prohibited conduct
  • MetroLagoons reserves all rights and remedies available under applicable law to recover damages resulting from vandalism, theft, property damage, personal injury, or other unlawful conduct occurring on its property.

Identification Requirements: 

Guests under the age of 25 may be required to present valid government-issued photo identification.

Acceptable forms of identification include:

  • Driver's License
  • State Identification Card
  • Military Identification
  • Passport

If identification cannot be provided or age cannot be verified:

  • Guests will be treated as under 18 years of age.
  • Chaperone requirements will apply.
  • Admission may be denied.

Guest Conduct Expectations: 

The following behaviors are prohibited:

  • Fighting
  • Harassment
  • Threatening behavior
  • Running in crowds
  • Vandalism
  • Theft
  • Property damage
  • Disorderly conduct
  • Failure to follow staff instructions

Removal From Property: 

MetroLagoons reserves the right to deny admission or remove any guest whose behavior jeopardizes the safety, security, or enjoyment of others.
Guests removed for policy violations may be removed without refund.
Parents, guardians, and chaperones may also be required to leave the property with any minor guest who violates this policy or engages in prohibited conduct.
