A Day in the Life of Finn: How I Spend My Days at MetroLagoons
Meet Your Favorite Pool Noodle
Hi there! I'm Finn! Your friendly neighborhood pool noodle and the official virtual mascot of MetroLagoons.
You might spot me hanging out around the website, popping into your inbox, showing up on social media, or sneaking into a few event photos (don't tell anyone). My job? Making sure you never miss out on all the fun happening across our Florida lagoons.
People always ask me, "Finn, what do you actually do all day?"
Well... grab a beach chair. Here's a peek into a typical day in my life.
8:00 AM – Rise and Shine
Every great lagoon day starts with sunshine.
Before guests arrive, I like taking a stroll along the crystal-clear water. No waves. No seaweed. No sharks. Just calm blue water and palm trees. Sometimes, I catch the Resident Members in a yoga class and join along.
I call it my morning "floativation."

9:30 AM – Planning Your Perfect Lagoon Day
One of my favorite jobs is helping guests figure out everything there is to do.
I might recommend:
- Paddleboarding
- Kayaking
- Floating obstacle courses
- Volleyball
- Bumper Boats
- Relaxing on complimentary beach loungers
- A private cabana
- A refreshing drink from the swim-up bar
- Seasonal events and entertainment
There's never just one way to spend a lagoon day.

Noon – Time for Lunch
Swimming makes a pool noodle hungry.
Some of my favorites?
- Chicken tenders
- Lagoon Burger
- Something icy to cool off

2:00 PM – Event Time!
This is where things get exciting.
Depending on the season, you might catch me hanging around:
- Foam parties
- Trivia nights
- Karaoke
- Live music
- Holiday celebrations
- Christmas in July
- Family game days
- Movie nights
Honestly... if there's music playing, chances are I'm nearby.

4:00 PM – Helping New Visitors
I meet lots of first-time guests every day.
The questions I hear most?
"Is MetroLagoons open to the public?"
Absolutely.
"Do I need a Splash Pass?"
Only if you want to enjoy activities like kayaking, paddleboarding, or the obstacle course.
"Is this better than the beach?"
Well...
Let's just say you won't find sharks, jellyfish, or rough surf here.
I'll let you decide.
